This Way Up is the annual conference for people working in UK film exhibition; a space to gather, connect, learn and be inspired. This year, TWU21 will be a hybrid event, taking place at Watershed in Bristol, and accessible online from anywhere in the UK.
Delivered by BFI FAN, This Way Up brings the sector together to share new ideas, celebrate our work, and collectively imagine the future of cinema-going for audiences across the UK.

Cinema Stories
In addition This Way Up are looking for six venues to create short films to showcase their venue. After the success of last year’s Cinema Stories, we’re offering a £250 budget to help you create a video (up to 3 minutes in length) with creative flair.

Have you been part of an inspiring project or programme this year that you’d like to share?
Do you have an idea or innovation that could make a change in the exhibition sector, or burning question or provocation to put to your industry colleagues?
We’re looking for proposals for a 10-minute in person presentation or a 5-minute video presentation, which will be screened online and at the conference.
