The next National Lottery Open Week will take place from Saturday 9 – Sunday 17 March 2024.
Marking the 30th Anniversary of the National Lottery, National Lottery Open Week is an opportunity for venues supported by National Lottery funding (which includes all UK-wide BFI FAN members) to say thank you to the players by providing special offers during this period.
The National Lottery will roll out a significant promotional campaign in February and March, and evidence from previous years shows it’s a great way to engage with new and diverse audiences and welcome them to your venue.
How can I get involved?
Examples of ways you could get involved include:
- Offering free tickets to the first X number of customers
- Providing free popcorn or concessions on a certain day
- Running behind the scenes tours of your venue
- Organising talks by cinema staff on film/cinema
Or you can come up with an idea for your own promotion. If a number of members want to offer similar activities (e.g. behind the scenes tours), we can work with the National Lottery to create a specific promotion around this.
Players just need to present a National Lottery ticket or scratch card during the Open Week period to take advantage of your offer.
