The first Screening Days of 2021 is to be held over 15–19 March. While it’s digital, the Independent Cinema Office’s aim remains the same: to help cinemas find the best films to serve all their audiences.
Screening Days is an event giving cinema professionals a chance to come together to watch upcoming films and have discussions towards building a better independent cinema scene. Like our December 2020 event, this Screening Days is online only and will offer the best new cinema from around the world, plus sessions to support cinemas in the new reality we find ourselves in.

New to Screening Days? Here’s what you need to know.
- If you’re employed (or on furlough), your pass is £25.
- If you’re a freelancer, your pass is £15.
- If you have applied for or receive Universal Credit, Job Seeker’s Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance, Personal Independence Payment or Carer’s Allowance, or if you are retired or a student in higher education, your pass is £10.
In addition, ICO wants to make sure that Screening Days is open to as wide a group of people as possible. If the pandemic has affected you and your organisation’s finances, you can partner with Filmbankmedia for 25 complimentary places. If you would like to apply for a supported pass, please email info@independentcinemaoffice.org.uk and they will randomly select 25 names after the deadline of 1 March 2021.
The final deadline for registering for all Screening Days passes is 8 March. A full refund is available for cancellations up to 12 March. Due to rights restrictions, there is limited capacity for this event despite its being online, so booking early is advised.
